Ahh, about the only Death metal I can get into, well, other than if At The Gates counts? I get lost in the "genre" distinctions these days.

I really consider them thrash. I put them in league with the Beneath The Remains and Arise albums by Sepultura, thrash with death metal vocals. Granted I think all death metal vocals are garbage haha.

Not everyone likes delving into sub genres, but I think classifying At The Gates as melodic death metal is a must. They're one of the big 3/pioneers of the genre
