RIP David Sanborn

Another great one gone.
Rest well.

Just watched this interview.
I like what he said about taking a risk when playing live and being in the moment.

The great David Sanborn has transitioned! Blessings to him and his loved ones!! Thanks for the music!!!

From the article (never knew this):
"Sanborn performed at Woodstock as a member of The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, with whom he logged his earliest recording credits."
You beat me to it.

He's up there with Hiram Bullock and Michael Brecker now.

I'll never forget a show at SPAC, with Hiram running around the audience, barefoot, trading 8s with David on stage.

I first heard him around 1973 on a Brecker Brothers alblum. He fit in so well with Michael and Randy. He fit in so well with everybody, period.

This really hurts.
